Getting Started - Note Templates

This outlines the steps to create and utilize note templates for SOAPs and appointment notes in order to streamline the process of recording patient visits.

Understanding Note Templates

  • Note templates are templates you want to use for SOAPs for any kind of visit.

  • You can also use Note Templates for general appointment notes.

Navigating to Note Templates

On the task bar under the "Settings" section, click on "Templates" and then "Note Templates"

Adding & Editing Note Templates

To add or edit an existing note template, click on the "Add Note Template" button or click on the existing note template that you would like to edit:

If you would like to edit an existing note template, after clicking on the note that you would like to edit, click on "Manage Note Template" and then "Edit":

Here you can edit the contents of the SOAP:

Using Note Templates/SOAPs During Visits

In order to add an SOAP to a visit, simply click on the visit on your calendar, then click "Add Note" then the "Type" drop-down. Here you will be prompted to choose which SOAP or note you would like to add to the visit:

Once you click on the SOAP/note, you can immediately add to it or save the note by clicking "Add Note" at the bottom and you can add to it at a later time.

After clicking "Add Note" you will see the SOAP in the "Appointment Overview" section. If you would like to add to the SOAP or note, simply click the pencil icon:

Generating SOAP/Notes into Medical Records

If you need to convert the SOAP/note into a medical record, navigate to the patients profile by clicking the patient's name in the "Overview" section of the visit:

You can also access any patient's profile by going to "Patients" under the "Patients" section and searching for their name:

Once you are in the patient's profile, click on the "Tab-Overview" drop-down, and then click "Notes":

Then click on the SOAP you would like to get a record of:

Here you can view the SOAP as a PDF, immediately download the PDF, or email the PDF directly to someone:
