Understanding SMS Templates

  • An SMS template is default language that you can set up to use when sending a text message to a client.

  • You can use these templates to text a client manually or you can set up the SMS template to automatically text a client at a certain time.

Navigate to SMS Templates

On the task bar under the "Settings" section, click on "Templates" and then "SMS Templates"

Adding and Editing SMS Templates

To add a new template, click "Add SMS Template" in the top right-hand corner. To edit an existing template, click on the template you would like to edit.

Once you have chosen the template you would like to edit, click the "Manage SMS Template" drop-down in the top right-hand corner, and then click "Edit":

Here you can edit the contents of the SMS template, including the template type and what the SMS message will say. You can also see an example of the message:

Manually Sending SMS Templates

To easily send a manual text to a client, such as an ETA notification before a visit, go to your schedule and click on the visit, and then click on the client's phone number:

Then click on "Text". Here you will be prompted to choose the template you would like to use. Once you choose the template, click "Send Text":

You will see that all of the information, such as your clinic name, your name, the client's name, will automatically populate in the content box:

Automatically Sending SMS Templates

You can also have text messages sent automatically. An example of this would be to have a text automatically sent to a client once an appointment is complete.

To do this, navigate to "Automations", then click "Add SMS Automation":

Here you can set up when the text is sent, which services it is sent for, and what template is used:

You can view all of the automated texts you have sent under the "Pending Texts" section:
